Taverner buys Jetty Research, expands CATI capacity to over 40 seats

Taverner Research is very pleased to announce that it has acquired the Coffs Harbour-based Jetty Research.

Jetty specialises in state and federal government clients, academic fieldwork and the financial sector. It has particular expertise in local government research, conducting surveying, recruitment and other forms of engagement for over 30 NSW Councils. Founded in 2006, Jetty Research will continue to operate from its Coffs Harbour base.

Established by Philip Mitchell-Taverner in 1995, Taverner Research is a full service research agency based in Surry Hills, Sydney. Taverner has been servicing local, state, federal government and academic institutions, commercial clients operating in B2B and B2C sectors as well as international research agencies for nearly 25 years.

The Taverner/Jetty merger will provide clients with a regional NSW presence, together with a wider scale and range of services. “Taverner and Jetty already have two of the highest quality and most cost-effective CATI facilities in Australia”, says Taverner’s Managing Director Michael Trigwell. “Now we will have even greater capacity to conduct research and recruitment projects, at an extremely competitive price.” The combined firm will also have enhanced reach in face-to-face (CAPI) research, particularly in metro and regional NSW.

Jetty Research founder James Parker will take on the role of National Research Director of the combined group. “I’m delighted to have teamed up with a company like Taverner”, says Parker. “The two companies have complementary strengths and the combined entity will give clients the best of both worlds – still the small company feel but with large company resourcing.”
