Jon Foged appointed CEO of Kantar Australia

Sydney, February 28, 2018: WPP AUNZ, Australasia’s leading marketing communications group, today announced that Kantar has appointed Jon Foged as Australian CEO.

Effective immediately, Foged will take the helm of the Kantar’s Australian businesses (Kantar Millward Brown and Kantar TNS), relocating permanently from Singapore where he was Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer for Kantar APAC, and CEO of Kantar Cambodia, Myanmar and Cambodia.

The appointment follows months of Foged working locally to help manage the Australian business through a period of transition.

“For the last five months Jon has been caretaking the leadership of Kantar Australia with great success. He is a seasoned CEO with a proven track record, and is both very people-oriented and client-driven. He will no doubt continue the legacy of success that the Kantar Group has achieved in this market,” said WPP AUNZ CEO Mike Connaghan.

“We welcome him to the WPP AUNZ group and look forward to him leading the Kantar business through its next phase of growth.”

Foged started his career with Kantar in Australia, initially leading the Motorola account in both regional and global roles, going on to head up the Kantar TNS Melbourne office. He later relocated to Asia to become the MD of the Kantar TNS Singapore business for three years.

Foged replaces Tania Kullmann, who has decided to take a sabbatical to focus on her family. Connaghan continued: “We have a very strong desire to continue working with Tania. We highly value the kind of talent that she has brought to our business and we will be exploring opportunities that will allow us to benefit from her wisdom and leadership on an ongoing basis. She leaves the organisation in great shape and we are grateful for her ongoing commitment.”

Kantar Australia is part of WPP AUNZ, Australasia’s leading marketing communications group.
