The International Working Group (IWG) have released their global workplace survey, compiled after speaking to more than 15,000 business people from over 80 countries. They report on the changing workplace and the drivers behind a move to more flexible working arrangements. In short, ‘flexible working is the new norm’ and ‘modern businesses simply must embrace a flexible working culture on at least some level in order to stay competitive’.
Interesting finds include:
- 85% of respondents have seen an increase in productivity as a result of greater flexibility
- Over half of employees globally work at least 2.5 days per week outside their main office headquarters
- 83% of respondents confirm, if faced with two job options, they would turn down an employment offer that didn’t offer flexible working hours
The survey makes for an interesting read and can be found at IWG.
