Pollinate expands into Canberra to meet client demand

20 May 2019: Pollinate, Sydney-based research and brand strategy consultancy that utilises systems thinking to solve client challenges has opened its doors in Canberra, appointing longtime employee Garrett Tyler Parker as Managing Director. The opening of the Canberra office was spurred by growing demand from Canberra-based clients being serviced out of Pollinate’s Sydney office.

Pollinate CEO Howard Parry-Husbands said, “We have been working with clients in Canberra for a few years – both government and non-government clients.  We knew that clients from Canberra had a different way of working and that is why we had a dedicated team in Sydney working on their business.  But the time has come for us to open an office in Canberra so we can be closer to clients.”

Pollinate decided to send its own Canberran back to Canberra to continue building his relationships and foster new relationships.  Garrett is alumni from Australian National University and has extensive experience in the Canberra Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery.   Garrett has a range of methodological and category experience, having worked across a range of sectors including with clients from the Federal Government, Indigenous communities, private sector investment, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and professional associations.

“For current and prospective clients, the Canberra team will be an extension of the Sydney teams already working with Canberra clients– we work collaboratively and pool our resources across all offices to ensure all clients benefit from the full force of Pollinate’s strategic thinking and institutional knowledge.”

Garrett Tyler Parker added: “This is a great opportunity to bring Pollinate’s broad-ranging expertise across research, brand strategy, ideation, innovation and customer experience – a killer combination of services – to Canberra. This which allow us to provide invaluable support as a trusted partner to our clients. I look forward to building a strong competitive offer in Canberra as we grow and hire more Pollinators in the near future.”

Parry-Husbands continues “This is our second office opening this year, as we continue to embed our systems thinking approach to helping clients navigate the complexity of today’s world, we have realised being physically closer to clients is important.”

Pollinate works with many leading organisations, including ING, The Australian National University (ANU), Arnott’s, SBS and the several Federal Government departments and organisations.
