The Social Research Centre’s Senior Methodological Adviser, Paul Lavrakas, Phd., received the highest accolade awarded by the American Association of Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) at AAPOR’s recent conference in Toronto.
The honour bestowed on Paul was the lifetime award for Exceptionally Distinguished Achievement.
Paul has contributed immensely to the Social Research Centre’s methodological agenda including helping with the introduction of dual-frame RDD surveys to Australia and with the establishment of Australia’s first and only probability-based online panel – Life in AustraliaTM.
In his acceptance speech, Paul singled out some colleagues from across the five decade span of his professional life including Darren Pennay, the founder of the Social Research Centre.
