SME satisfaction with the Government stimulus drops as more businesses cut staff

The latest report published by ACA Research in partnership with TEG Insights shows the number of small to medium Australian businesses satisfied with the Government business stimulus package has declined steeply from 64% to 55% this week.

Some of the highlights this week are:

  • Decline in satisfaction with the Government business stimulus package, dropping from 64% to 55% this week
  • Uptick in the proportion of businesses cutting staff to 40% from 34% last week
  • 70% expect Government to have wound back many lock down measures by end of June
  • Uplift in business owners concerned for their own health and wellbeing.
