Research saves lives: Fire safety and multicultural communities

A glimpse of what our speakers are presenting at the 2022 Human Insights Conference!

After the catastrophic 2019 bushfire season, the Victorian DJCS commissioned LOTE to investigate how well CALD communities understand the risks of wild fires. We used a quantitative research design to determine some quite concerning findings about the relative understanding of several CALD communities. This work has helped the DJCS to develop strategies to help ensure members of CALD communities understand the risks of fire and will have more chance of knowing what to do if they are ever faced with the challenges of surviving a bush fire.

We are proud to be working in this research niche and look forward to sharing the findings in our presentation: Research Saves Lives.
