Diversity / equity/ inclusion

A glimpse of what our speakers are presenting at the 2022 Human Insights Conference!

I am very pleased to let everyone know that the new TRS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee has been formed. This is an important step not just for TRS but for us as an industry and a community. While the committee is very much a work in progress, we will strive to foster the principles of diversity, equality and inclusiveness not just in our workplaces but also in the research that we do every day, trying to ensure that we apply these principles to who we engage with in the wider world. Committee members will be working to develop interesting and useful content and events that help all of us create inclusive, compassionate and welcoming spaces for marginalised researchers and disenfranchised communities.

To get us started on this path, we will be hosting a booth at the Conference dedicated to neurodiversity in the workplace. Maybe you’re curious about yourself? Maybe you’re struggling to connect with a colleague and need some guidance? Maybe you want to discuss how to better communicate with neurodivergent respondents? Come and have a chat and grab some resources at the Conference. The DEI committee will also be championing the new Insights to Impact Games, allowing us greater touchpoints to welcome a diverse range of interested new grads.

We are in the first stages of planning a DEI Insights Conference. Please reach out if you would like to get involved.
